Own a Vitamix Blender? If so, then you may have noticed tiny bits of black non-stick coating in the drinks you’ve mixed. You’re probably pretty disappointed with this purchase. But there’s no need to worry. Here’s why: 1) those bits are non-toxic, 2) now you’re entitled to ask for free cash!
A Free $70 Gift Card!
If you bought your Vitamix somewhere between January 1st, 2007 and October 1st, 2016, then you may be entitled to a $70 gift card or blade replacement from the company.
According to recent reports, about 6 million blenders were affected! If that was the issue with your purchase, don’t shy away – Vitamix owes you some free cash.
No Harm, No Foul
The Blender Settlement website says:
“Plaintiff’s Complaint does not allege any medical harm resulted from any consumption… Vitamix produced information from an independent third-party lab reporting that the flecks are harmless when consumed and do not present a human health or safety risk.”
So, don’t worry – your blender had no plans to poison you.
The settlement was given the first round of approval on Oct. 31, 2017, by Ohio judge. If it makes past the final approval hearing (March 27, 2018) – gift cards will be given out to those who submitted a claim.
